Hi,
I can't get x360ce to work with The Walking Dead. I'm using app v.2.1.2.191 with hookmask=3, xinput1_1, 1_2, 1_3 and 9_1_0.
Regardless if I 'use' x360ce or not the game thinks that my Y button is A button. It seems that the game doesn't really see the app libraries I put.
Anybody got it to work?

OK try this. Disable x360ce (e.g. rename to xinput1_3.dll.disable) but be sure to leave the dinput8.dll in the game folder. Is there any improvement?

The reason I suggest this is because of this:http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/40629/logitech-gamepad-problem-the-walking-dead-pc . It suggests having a "fake" blocker dinput8.dll in the game folder, which is somehow meant to help, presumably through DInput. Don't understand why, but maybe worth a shot.

I've also attached the dinput8.dll file suggested. If it doesn't work, download and unzip and get the blocker dll, and try that instead.

Also if you could look through the game executable file using a text editor: is the any mention of xinput in there?

Look through the game executable using a text editor? There's only gibberish (I used notepad++ and search ofc).
When I put the blocker you attached the game doesn't recognise the gamepad at all. Following the link I learned that it's a workaround ment to block any gamepad input in game so that one could map gamepad input to keyboard using xpadder or similar software.

People have been strugling with this kind of problem for some time now. I guess we could mark this game as unsupported.

Oh that's the reason. I was wondering why that might help.

What I can't undrstand is some people think it works with the x360 controller. See http://steamcommunity.com/app/261030/discussions/0/630800443049696275/ and http://www.giantbomb.com/the-walkin...w-to-get-360-controller-to-work-on-pc-565359/

Something about going to options and choose "show 360 buttons". Is there any such option?

Most likely the x360 controller is using dinput, but the dinput is better mapped than your controller. Not sure what you can do in this situation. Apart from xpadder.

To give x360ce one last try, you could try is the following x360ce.ini:

[InputHook]
HookLL=1
HookCOM=1
HookSA=1
HookWT=1
HookDI=1
HookPIDVID=1
HookName=1

Also go to, in x360ce.exe, Options > Installed Files, and make sure all the boxes are ticked. This clones xinput1_3.dll under these new filenames.
