Screenshake is a stupid mechanic

I'm over it.

Call of Duty might be the worst offender followed by Titanfall, any video I watch of these terrible games are rife with excessive screen shake making it difficult to see what's going on, which steps on the cool spectacle of seeing things blow up.

EDF 2025 had it and I turned it off. Not only is the game more enjoyable, but I can enjoy the fruits of me shooting a billion rockets at giant robots and ants.

Screenshake, do you even?

Well, i think is a preference thing and wish there would be an option for that. I for one like the screen shake a lot and a good example is tomb raider. The idea is just to give you the feeling like you are actually in the scene and obviously if all around you is exploding etc. is not like you are going to see everything like if nothing ever happened. At some games it makes it hard to aim but that's when you have to show your skills :p

I hate when movies do it the entire movie..i feel i need to throw up sometimes while watching them.

I agree that shakycam in movies is absolutely terrible but screen shake in games, really depends on the game and how it's done... In some games it's just so over done that it makes gameplay horrible, but in others it does work to create a feeling of being in it, like Ruan mentioned.
