Hey guys, i am fairly new to PSX emulation and so far i am having a blast :-D
Only thing that buggers me is that i get "ghost" presses every now and then while playing. its mostly the directional pad that does that, for instance when i am playing a SHMUP like philosoma or R-Type Delta and move down, the ship keeps moving even though i let go - and when i tap on down again, its gone. Also, sometimes the ship would start moving on its own, but a short tap on the d-pad ends that again....
Is there another good input plugin that can handle Xinput?
I have tested around a bit, and it does seem to happen everywhere. Sadly, it's not really reproducable and happens really randomly. It doesn't matter how long i have to hold it to "stick" or if i press certain "combos" like diagonals or circle movements or anything. The only constant is, as soon as i tap the d-pad when it's happening, it gets "unstuck".
It IS a Xbox ONE Gamepad, though. Normally it just works, but for one other game (Trackmania) i had to reconfigure some axes (LT and RT)
The pads are polled all the time (at the console rate), so if you were to have the dpad released... even if there was a delay for some reason, the button would be reported as not pressed in the next poll.
My only guess would be the poll rate to be too high for the Xbox One controller/ driver, and it's choking. Is there a difference between using the USB cable or not?
I think the PSX would poll once per vsync, so it shouldn't be a problem. But I remember something about the DualShock 3 having problems when used wirelessly, specially with rumble. Try the LilyPad plugin that comes with PCSX2 as it can also use XInput.
