As the thread title suggests, I can convert saves from PS1/PS2 emulators (e.g., .MCR and .PS2) to any of Sony's current save formats (e.g., VMP, PSV). I can also convert PSV and VMP saves back to MCR/.PS2, but you can easily do this yourself with tools such as MemcardRex (PS1) and MyMC (PS2, along with PSVExporter and PS2 Save Builder). I cannot convert PS3 game saves to PS Vita cross-play saves, sorry. That requires me to own each game in question. In this case, PSV specifies a save file type for Playstation 1 and Playstation 2, NOT the Playstation Vita system.

The saves I provide for you do not require a hacked console of any sort to operate.

Not requesting a specific format will lead to me assuming you want your save converted to .PSV format (used by Playstation 3).

Instructions for posting a save on this thread:
1. Attach PS1 or PS2 saves in any format (.MCR and .PS2 are preferred, but I have tools for any old PS1/PS2 save format).
2. State what you want done with them, such as .MCR to .PSV, or .MCR to .VMP.
3. After I convert them, you need to do one of the following:

If I gave you .PSV file(s) for a PS3:
1. Get a USB stick or some other media your PS3 can read from, and create a set of folders: PS3/EXPORT/SAVE (that is, make a folder called PS3 on your USB device, in that make a folder named EXPORT, then inside EXPORT, make one last folder called SAVE.
2. Put your .PSV file(s) inside that SAVE folder, and then use your PS3 to import the save(s) in the Memory Card Utility (PS1/PS2) on the XMB.

If I gave you .VMP file(s) for a Vita:
1. Use Sony's CMA, OpenCMA, or QCMA to make a backup of your preferred PS1 game's saves.
2. Go in to your documents folder, or wherever you have the CMA program store your files, and find your PS1 save data's .VMP files.
3. Overwrite SCEVMC0.VMP or SCEVMC1.VMP with the .VMP I gave you, and then copy them back to your Vita, again using CMA.

If I gave you .VMP file(s) for a PSP:
1. Connect your PSP to your PC/Mac/whatever, and enable the USB connection.
2. Browse your PSP's Memory Stick and go to /PSP/SAVEDATA/<your ps1 game id here>, and overwrite SCEVMC0.VMP or SCEVMC1.VMP with the .VMP I gave you.

After that, your saves should show up in-game on your PS Vita, PSP, or PS3.

Other notes:

Converting saves to .PSV by yourself requires a hacked PS3.

Converting saves to .VMP by yourself requires requires a hacked PS Vita or PSP.

Converting saves from .PSV or .VMP back to .MCR/.PS2 does not require a hacked console either. Multiple tools exist to convert these types of saves.

I remember I did something similar when it comes to saves from PS1 games on a PS2 to emulators. It really isn't all that hard. I've not looked at the saves from PS3, but they may come encrypted, if they do, decrypt, then just edit the save in a HEX editor. It really shouldn't be much more than making sure the same "slot" in the memory card file has the same data. There might be one big issue though, and that is some "header"/"meta" data whatever, and you'll just have to figure out what to do with that.

Give me a few hours and I can convert it to PS3 for you, but I lack the setup to convert to Vita. You should beable to pull it from the console with the Vita itself, however.

If anyone else needs PS3 conversions, please reply with the save file again, so I know who needs it. I just got an email from this thread and not sure who all needs this done still.

I know that this is a tad off topic but does anyone know how to convert a DS savefile to PSP save file? Trying to convert my FFIII save so I wont have to torture myself again.

Here you go, sorry for the wait.

No delay at all. Thank you so much, you are awesome :D. You enjoying 7 Days to Die? Been playing on PC for a few days, its really fun!
Lovin' it! I've probably put more hours into it than I need to at this point, but oh well. I'm enjoying it. I've definitely got my money's worth out of it already, and I'm still going!

Sorry for the delay, friend. Here you go, and that is definitely one of my all time top games! Just glad I remembered to do the conversion before 7 Days to Die released on PS4 Tuesday, heh. Would have been distracted for a good while otherwise! :D

I can't do VMP, man. Sorry about that! The only member I know of that did it, no longer has a means, and my PSP is bricked.

And i will get that save converted for you Tifa, a bit later tonight.
