I use a western digital my passport 2tb I had laying around and it seems to work okay. I would leave the cube games to the emulator instead since compatibility is hit and miss playing it on the wii this way. Either of those in the link would do just fine since most of them are pretty current.

I bought the black, 1 TB western digital HD and it works perfectly. Im also backing up my dvds of.movies and tv shows since they rip in 480i yet the kbps I set to.10000 so it looks 1080p using wiimc.
I've never had any hdds that have failed so I guess I can say that as long as you take care of them, you'll be str8 for as long as you use them.
