Post your random gaming thoughtS!!

To start things off:

Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops will be playable in stereoscopic 3D when it launches worldwide on November 9.

Publisher Activision said that the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of the shooter will be compatible with 3D-ready HDTVs and 3D PCs utilising active shutter 3D glasses.

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia said: "Development of stereoscopic 3D began as an R&D project, but once we saw what the technology brought to the Call of Duty experience, what a great fit and how immersive it was, we knew that we had to develop it for Black Ops.

"Aiming down the sights of your weapons, flying in helicopters, rappelling down mountains, and moving through highly detailed environments are just some of the awesome experiences you will have in 3D with Black Ops."

He added: "We made sure the experience is seamless for gamers to use with a simple menu option to enable stereoscopic 3D or disable it at any time whether playing in the single player campaign, multiplayer or Zombies."

Black Ops multiplayer was looking more ambitious than we imagined when we went hands-on last month.

How would a single GTX 960 stack up against my sli GTX 460's in recent games? Thinking about going for it sometime this year although I don't like the GTX 960 only has 2GB vram. Relatively cheap for my budget just looking for decent performance well beyond what I can currently get out of my sli GTX 460's. I want to play TEW at a constant 30fps or 60FPS and the same for Dead Rising 3, Saints Row IV, GTAIV, GTAV, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs and Bioshock Infinite.

For right now thinking of redoing thermal grease on the 460's and cleaning connectors for my ram, gpu pci-e and sli connectors as well as purchasing a hard bridge for sli.

^That's what's good about them, they where bad enough to offer some good entertainment a bit of a laugh on the side if you will, but due to how the game is constructed or how you experience it, it doesn't ruin the game or the overall game experience.
I know, it feels cool when playing the Retro Version but when you Play the HD one with great design and Detail it suddendly isn't fun anymore.

It'd fare far better, but you might have more luck going with a 760, roughly the same performance but should be cheaper.

Around here, both the 760 and 960 are around the same price: 230-260$. The price for a 760 seems to be higher than the 960s, most likely because they don't stock them much anymore.
The 280x is also around the same price and offers similar performance, but it comes with 3gb since Xtreme mentions wanting more than 2gb vram.
With that said, the best thing to do is always to look for weekly specials. Right now I see a bunch of 290x (4gb, if that matters) selling for about 300$-400$.

This one is 330$ with 30$ mail-in rebate:

This is 430$ with 100$ mail-in rebate:

Edit: those are prices in CAD. Halve them to get the USD price.
(Ok, ok. 330$ CAD is actually 265$ US.)

Deals like this almost make me want to upgrade.

Can't wait....

THAT'S. THE. POINT.

Though I'd say "unprofessional" is an understatement of the century. And I get your point, it's just that I personally love that crappy voice acting and it is part of the reason why I love the old RE's.
I know... i was talking about my taste for the voices. I did like it in the past but when i Play a HD Remake that Looks that beautiful those voices destroy all the fun for me.

neptunia? tl;dr me
14 minutes left on my download :)

4 goddesses, console wars, shit happens

hmm 900p only for windowed and 1080p if in fullscreen. The game is 60fps and cutscenes are 30fps. No framerate drops. This is how you do a port, SE needs to take a lesson from IFI

IFI has apologized for the internal resolution being locked at 900p and upscaled to 1080p. They will be fixing it

a game about console wars having issues with the pc port is kind of funny. Good that they'll be fixing it.

My monitor is 1280x1024 i hope it works...
I did see 1024x576 in the resolution list

this game does have a conflict with codecs where it will skips videos and scenes, any splitter that has .avi support you need to disable that. It seems to only want windows to handle .avi. If using cccp or ffdshow just exclude the neptunia.exe

yea they pushed 2 patches today to fix dlc issues
