To be honest, it'd be best if they separated this game from the Souls series and introduced gameplay changes. It's better than let a series stagnate. They COULD change the gameplay and keep it in the series, but that would only make players draw inevitable comparisons with the previous titles.

Some say that it's set in 18th century London, or something equivalent and that muskets will be part of the gameplay. This is only conjecture, I've heard that Miyazaki is a fan of European history, so for him to look at a time period where firearms were available isn't outside the realm of possibility.

Could be really cool, soul arts integrated into muskets would be great. Instead of catalysts, you get rifles.

More PS3-level graphics in various monochrome shades. :p

Didn't notice that guard, so I'd say it's a cutlass (or a sabre). Regardless, I like to see a change of setting at least. I'm somewhat tired of seeing every fantastic game look like something dug out of Tolkien's backyard. I don't like, however, how the images only cover the brown colour spectrum. It makes them look monotonous, to be honest.

I'm sure there's plenty of time to iron out/tweak/optimize/remove effects to get that consistent 30fps. Demon's Souls performed fantastically and Dark Souls was great sans Blighttown. I'm optimistic about Miyazaki's abilities to deliver.

As long as they don't rip out the entire f*****g lighting engine (Dark Souls II looking at you douchebag) and have hitboxes the size of Mars, it'll be great.

If the music, action, atmosphere, setting and tone are anything to go by, this will be something special. I'm gonna hit so many goddamn fences.

I really hope they fix those problems as well as low textures at some scenarios. I forgive them now as i know is in early stages but if the end result looks near to that is gonna be a huge turn off for me. The game looks like a Dark Souls II rip-off but so far i like it more than Dark Souls... a game that never got me yet i have some high hopes for this title. A huge plus for not using the terrible sandbox sound when attacking which is one of the things i hate most from DS.

I'll be honest this seems overhyped till now and not very interesting, looking at the gameplay it looks exactly like Dark Souls with a different skin. And the ending texts of trailer which i suppose where there to create an atmosphere felt down right moronic....

"This Curse"

What curse ?

"This nightmare"

What nightmare ?

"This Battle"

What Battle ?

"How will it end"

What curse, nightmare and battle ? We don't know jack sh... about anything... How will it end? How should i have any interest in that when i have no idea how it begins or let alone partly evolves...

Demon's Souls wasn't about the curse, rather greed and lust for power. Allant woke the Old One by channeling souls which he used to bring prosperity to Boletaria. The curse theme appears in Dark Souls, and frankly the Bloodborne should sway away from the theme.
