Post your random gaming thoughtS!!

To start things off:

Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops will be playable in stereoscopic 3D when it launches worldwide on November 9.

Publisher Activision said that the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of the shooter will be compatible with 3D-ready HDTVs and 3D PCs utilising active shutter 3D glasses.

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia said: "Development of stereoscopic 3D began as an R&D project, but once we saw what the technology brought to the Call of Duty experience, what a great fit and how immersive it was, we knew that we had to develop it for Black Ops.

"Aiming down the sights of your weapons, flying in helicopters, rappelling down mountains, and moving through highly detailed environments are just some of the awesome experiences you will have in 3D with Black Ops."

He added: "We made sure the experience is seamless for gamers to use with a simple menu option to enable stereoscopic 3D or disable it at any time whether playing in the single player campaign, multiplayer or Zombies."

Black Ops multiplayer was looking more ambitious than we imagined when we went hands-on last month.

I'm surprised how well GTAV works on my rig, it's 45-60 fps at all times, of course not maxed out, but my trusty 560 Ti still looks strong, although 1GB RAM really is small nowadays. May get a 4GB version of GTX 960, now since I should get my tax return next week and the card is only around €280. Gigabyte or MSI, though? As a bonus I'd get The Witcher 3 for free with the card, which saves me a few bob for the game too :>
I really like what rockstar did with the VRAM meter where you can balance the game according to your setup. I think that should be standard on all games by now. GTAV got a 207.5mb patch today as i can see... wonder what was fixed.

too bad this behavior results in the game breaking.

Really? that doesn't Sound good.... at least is working great here so far. I keep it in the green area tho.

MKX just started a 15gb update.....more characters? Stages? Hope it's something worth it, that's a huge update for my poor internetz
I was playing the game and didn't noticed the update until now but it says 2 updates are going to be downloaded where the first one is 15gb. I hope for those with Internet Limits that the second one is smaller.

Still, WTF???? it's being said just to remove the Streaming download crap they had and if that's the case i wonder why the hell do we have to download that patch.

So far GTAV Plays well here, i just have some small random lags sometimes even if the framerate stays solid at 60fps. The nvidia experience app Shows an update for optimal Settings so will try it out. The Level of Detail, the camera positions, lighting and all those small things the game has to offer are simply insane and still impress me a lot.

The XB1 Version:

Have you tried it with the bloatwar- er, I mean Nvidia Experience off? I used to have it installed for a while but removed it after I found some games having problems with some features in it. All I really used it was for driver updates as the Nvidia site sucks balls but after the problems, I just didn't feel like it was worth it.

The game does some "caching" of video resources, depending on the amount of video memory, having SLI be accumulative in their detection causes the caching to go crazy and spill out into the shared system memory.

its why sli is having issues hitting full fps, but single cards are having no problems.

I will try that out and see if it works

I'm using a single card here so that may explain why i'm not having such issues.

Apparently that 15gb patch does absolutely nothing except fix minor framerate issues...or so I've read. Everyone says nothing has changed, some even saying it made the game worst for them graphics wise. So with that said,I'm praying there's no more patches that size my internet can't take it :(

Master Race.
Dem drillz, omg.

GTA V plays like butter on my 7970 (not ghz), just lower the shadows a little and post processing.
Looks brilliant and a fluid 70fps all round (overclocked to 70hz from 60)

Damn!!! my new main character is almost here and looking at his moves and preasure mechanism is so scary!!!! hisako is one of the deadliest characters of the roster but her slow moves make her quite predictable as it turns out after having some matches with great players. Cinder in the other hands have way too much tricks that turns him in my opinion into the deadliest and scariest character of the roster. Basically you will have some hard times trying to beat a player that has some experience with Cinder. It's so sick and awesome at the same time.

I really love Mortal Kombat X as is so much better but Cinder mechanics perfectly shows how fighting mechanics in MK should've been. I don't expect long combos like on KI but even simple 3 hits punch/kick combos looks amazing. Air moves and other movement mechanics also shows how it can be combined with combos. I wish MK devs could take some notes and improve the MK fighting mechanics in the future. MKX is definitely a move in the right direction and it feels so much better but the video below shows that there is so much room for improvements:

Seems like Bioshock Infinite has issues with Nvidia hardware and drivers.

- If I turn up Dynamic Shadows to Very High or Ultra it results in fps plummeting when standing in directly in front and looking at closed doors. Once the door opens fps magically returns to normal.

- Ambient Occlusion performs poorly with Nvidia hardware.

- Post Processing set to Alternate results in fps loss.

My system meets the recommended specifications and should've been able to handle the game on Ultra. Reading around I came across a post or article explaining the game had issues with Nvidia and to set Dynamic Shadows no higher than "High", disable Ambient Occlusion and set Post Process to Normal instead of Alternate. I presume the game would perform just fine with equal AMD hardware. Can't find a way around that so I'm forced to lower my settings and who wants to do that? The game on Ultra is simply beautiful, the game may not have the best graphics as other AAA titles but the art style and direction make it a breathtaking experience.

I'm currently around halfway through the game on 1999 mode with around 5000 silver eagles. Going for the scavenger hunt achievement which means no using dollar bill machines. I was hoping to resolve the issues with graphical settings so I could play through Ultra smoothly.
