psx 1.13 is the last know version since 2009...version 1.14 would be very cool, especially if it even comes close to emulating a ps2 game. psx 1.13 runs awesome on my x64 system; where the epsxe fails due to slow frame-rates. psx 1.13 does include a ps2 bios plug-in...though i'm not sure why. with enough tweaks the pcsx2 emulator runs nearly every ps2 iso out there, along with a great deal of ps2 discs. i'm not a hundred percent sure we even have the full processing power of the ps2...sad really given the latest quad-cores and graphic cards...i'd love to see a beta version of psx 1.14 run on either the ps3, or ps4 as an emulator though...the graphics, game-play and frame-rates would be crazy-good!! imagine say parasite eve from ps1 running full 1080p 30fps and 120Hz refresh rates in full 3D...or even up-scaled to 4k at 240Hz refresh rates!!
I only hope the author finishes what he started. His emulator is the only one that runs really perfect on a netbook or low end computer.
