So, post some of then. These screenshots weren't meant to be posted anywhere, but I thought a thread like this would be a good idea and, since I have to start, I'm posting a few pics of some games I've been playing lately.
I'm not embedding all the pics because it's not necessary.
The games are:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Booom.
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Come here, you ugly clown.
Left 4 Dead
Give Blood. Save lives.
Need For Speed: Shift
I'm good at this.
Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl
Stalker has the most life-like sky I've ever seen in a game.
A few offscreen shots of my JMGO X3 projector at 4k projection resolution on a 120" screen. Shitty phone pics, but the deatail this thing produces is amazing.
I personally don't mind using multiple stores. Launching those stores is still more convenient than switching the discs in my PS4 (or switching games in any console), and I want to avoid having all of my games tied to a single account. It just seems safer having 20 games on 5 accounts instead of 100 games on one account.
I know people worry about having 20 different stores, each of them with exclusives, but so far I don't mind the number of stores offered. Also, with desktop shortcuts which launch the store+game, it doesn't seem terribly different from how it always was on PC.
I know it can be a dealbreaker for people, but for me it's fine.
As far as which one is better, don't know if I'll really have an opinion on that. Metro is taking bigger risks, but it also feel clunkier. The story seems to take dumb steps in an attempt to justify why you have to go on more adventures, the voiceover is terrible, and I dislike the flow where the game goes from open -> scripted -> open -> scripted. Still, it's getting more fun as I go forward, and I want to see what else they add once I get deeper in.
Its about how this fiasco started, pulling out of steam just two weeks before launch, and i do think exclusivity deals like this hurts pc wise, nobody is upset because they where also on epic, but because its only on epic, pc is mostly about freedom of choice, not to mention that epic is the weakest out of all store fronts, and the most anti consumer, and pro dev, they would rather invest in shady deals then invest in building a proper gaming environment, i dunno if I'll play the game or not but i sure as hell wont give them a dime, well for a year its for certain.
Some shots from the PS4 version of Shenmue 3. Their resolution is 3840x2160 but from what I can see the rendering resolution is lower. On my 1080p TV it gives a very pretty picture, very similar to the pc trial (resolution aside there seems to be only one detail level). I kind of understand now why the PS4 Pro is having a workout here.
If you can live with the now aged graphics, still start with the first game. Starting with 3 is like jumping into a tv series halfway through - the game literally starts with the ending scene from the second game (but it got a graphics upgrade).
Also, they're probably best enjoyed when taking it slow.
