FAQ: Can the controller be configured?
Not yet, it's locked to using the GamePad via keyboard. Proper controller support will come in a future release.
Can I run extracted games?
No, when launching a Wii U executable directly (.rpx) no external files are supported. If you want to run a game, it needs to be in raw dump format (WUD or ISO).
Is there supposed to be sound?
No, audio is not yet supported.
What's next?
The current plan is to release new updates at least every two weeks. A more detailed roadmap is in the works.
it still random crashes, but is much more stable... I pretty much get 30fps @1440p after the cached area settles..my gtx 950, unfortunately can't handle 4k too well...only 2gb ram and it fills up pretty quick causing a lot of slow downs... I'd love to get a 1070 SC but $400 for a video card (which is more than my MB,CPU and ram and case bcombined cost) is a bit much
I seem to be getting outright freezing in Xenoblade Chronicles X myself. Basically it will freeze up both the game and the emulator from time to time and I am forced to open task manage to kill it. Every now and then it unfreezes but not often enough.
I tested the new version and it crashes more often. In other games it just crash when booting games such as MK8. Zelda in the other hands still have some crashes but now is almost perfect with very little artifacts and glitches. However, despite being at 4k it doesn't look as sharp as on previous versions but at least it works with the latest update 1.2
you are used to the graphics packs and their altering of shaders...those alterations no longer work, you are getting the actual game as it would be if resolution was pumped to 4k
as to the cracked version.. never understood why people are too impatient to wait a week fro free software...pateron is simply to payback those who donate..waiting a week isn't going to kill anyone
oh and the crash, I bet if you look in the crash log the active thread at the time was compaction... I think there is a bug in the PPC compaction emulation when it starts moving stuff around in memory
It seems like placing the new patreon executable on the old 1.7.5 folder wasn't a good idea. Starting over and using just the saves solved the crashes. Quite impressive also how fast the cache now works in comparison to previous versions. It still lags a little but not very often unlike in the past when it was almost not acceptable as you just had a lag fest.
ummmm... graphics packs are not working at all.. (Except basic upscale) any with a shader is not working, so most likely the shader isn't working in the pack, allowing the game to run...all graphics packs with custom shaders have to be completely rewritten for the new shader method
I also recommend to restore any nvidia settings for cemu. Like in my case the settings were forcing cemu to use native resolution and completely ignore graphic packs for 1.8
I actually leave everything to default. Zelda BoTW looks stunning now as a lot of graphical issues are solved and textures and other effects are correctly displayed. The only thing i can't see is that aparently version 1.2 is working(which i can confirm) and you can see the text when changing language which in my case i can't because the box appear empty.
I just said screw it and downloaded the CEMU 1.8.0b on its own and copied it over to the cemu folder the Wii U USB Helper uses. After deleting some files to get as close to clean as possible. Kept my saves around and thats about it.
Currently waiting for update 1.2.0 to download so I can give it a try.
make sure you put 1.2.0 in the right place.. (don't overwrite the existing 1.1.2) it goes in \mlc01\usr\title\00050000\101C9400 (us version, EU is 9500 and Jp is 9300) in the cemu folder
Yeah BOTW works much better and almost all the glitches are gone including the small roses one that is now correctly rendered. I didn't experienced any crashes in BOTW but got one after completing some races in MK8. Overall i'm quite impressed how fast the cache is build and most specially in MK8 since i didn't had any cache at all because i made a clean build. The tracks were fully playeable and some rare stutters due to the caching but overall a pretty damn smooth experience.
Wonder how he fixed the flickering issues on his Bayonetta 2 video. The sound seems to be fixed now too and I can confirm it but the flickering textures still appear here while on his video is just perfect.
