Hello guys and girls !
I'm a huge fan of Xenogears and tried to play it again on Epsxe lately...
BUT...
Even if i have a strong pc, my image quality is poor.... My sprites are pixelated.
And i saw this video :
How can i obtain this quality ? These sprites are so smooth and the game look so great !!
I thank you by advance for your help !!

Sorry for the super late reply. I've haven't been to the site in a few months.

I can't see the video first off. It brings up an error message. Secondly, the easiest thing you can do is run the gfx plugin at 640x480. That is most likely the lowest resolution you PC can run. The reason why is the PlayStation usually runs most games at an internal resolution of 320x240 and running the emu's resolution at 640x480 will lessen the pixelated look of the sprites. To be honest, even on the original hardware the sprites still look pixelated so there is only so much you can do.

Another avenue you can try is using the internal Pete's OpenGL2 GPU core 2.0.0 or the Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 and using shader files. Here's a link to a thread about the different shader files you can use and how to use them: http://ngemu.com/threads/links-and-guides-to-custom-shaders-for-petes-opengl2-plugin.76098/ . With a lot of shader files you can create a low-level blurring effect that effects the whole scene on screen. This will help to blur the edges and stepping on the sprites to make them smoother.

The third option is to use this: http://ngemu.com/threads/peteopengl2tweak-tweaker-for-peteopengl2-plugin-w-gte-accuracy-hack.160319/ . This modified plug-in uses xBRZ scaling which is extremely good at cleaning up PS1 games at higher resolutions. It both smooths out pixelation and such as well as sharpens the image.

Personally I use both the second and the third option together. Word of warning though, the third option, if not configured properly, can make even modern high end PC's crawl.
