I know the mods are doing what they can, but automated spam threads seem to appear more and more often and it's getting quite annoying. Perhaps some of the vertical scope staff can do something about it?
what you think that was the only spam thread this whole time? we had plenty and you don't need to report any of it since it will eventually be dealt with.
lol.. I think you misunderstood... he was referring to your statement about a year free of spam...place has definitely NOT been free from spam for a year... that you may have thought so though DOES show they are pretty good at dealing with it before a lot of people see it... when you see it just report it as usual... it will be dealt with if they see the report or not
most reports don't even show up and yea either me or Hard core Rikku will deal with the spam bots and mods that are still here usually soft delete the spam threads when they see them.
Spam will always be dealt with and its easy to find by looking at all the recent activity which is how I got rid of all the old spam threads and spam bots
its an automatic process to deal with spam bots and using that will always delete the spam thread associated with that spam bot.
Most spam already gets caught in an 'invisible for users' status.
You neednt think about it, unless it evaded detection and stayed available for long (ie drowned among new content/inside threads, edited past posts).

It seems like there's quite an invasion of bots, and this type use PM's, i only got one going for me so far, but looking at the active users online right now... the place is crawling with them....
So I have set up a new user group that requires members to have a post count of 10 before being able to send PMs. Hopefully this will help to curb some of the PM spam that's starting to show up. Please let us know if you continue to notice this becoming a problem.
Cheers,
Erik
