    Nothing short of astounding.

I'm about to disconnect my machine and just emulate it instead, holy smokes is this coming along at lightning pace!

I put my wii u away months ago 2nd time doing so since it saves a lot of space and less messy cables, probably won't take it out until zelda next year

I tested Bayonetta 2 on 1.6.0(patreon build) yesterday and at the beginning is really slow but the biggest problem is the lag while loading textures in games like Mario Kart 8. I fixed the lag issue on my PC by moving the emulator to my SSD and while 1.5.6 doesn't lag 1.6.0 lag heavely on almost every game which may be due to the new code overhead. However, games like Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze looks a lot better and letters are finally visible as well as proper lighting in Mario Kart 8.

For all those who probably forgot the new version 1.6.0 is out and it has some nice improvements. For those having extreme lags like i had in the past or most notaciable during the patreon test there is a fix for that. Due to my experience i knew it can only be due to timing issues as my hardware is quite capable and the frames drop weren't constant but just went down from one second to another and then went up.

To fix the lags simply change the CPU timer to "host based timer". It's not the recommended one but it may fix lags on many computers like mine as the cycle timing doesn't seem to work well. That not just fix the issue on all games but in my case provide some great performance and very smooth gameplay.

    UPDATE:
It seems like the fix makes New Super Mario U lag so it requires the default option instead. I guess i will have to write some code to automatically use the right setting in such games when playing through @ES.

    Tested the new build yesterday.

SM3DW has more lags than before.
I didn't notice better texture emulation, have to check Bowser's castle again, it had a black platform making it very difficult to pass.

I know it is slow because they are adding more compatibility, we just have to wait till the emu is more mature and they focus on speed.

It is normal for Super Mario Bros U sometimes stops? Or it could be a heating problem of the GPU?

The emulator needs more work, it's not your gpu temperature.

    Nice.
That emulator has made some great progress.

I finished Super Mario 3d World with my kids last month.
Had some glitches but still was a great experience.

I hope they use the libretro common shaders in the future for their graphical enhancement support.

    You used 1.6.1?
I've read somewhere that the coop mode stutters a lot...

Yeah it's hit a few snags since the vertex change in 1.6.x?
It crashes my gpu driver on some games now that worked on on 1.5.6.
Talking of vertex i noticed some massive speed drops in the beyond good and evil that ubisoft gave away recently, in some scenes I was dropping down to 18fps until I turned on hw vertex processing and W Buffer, now i'm getting 55fps-60fps stable so I capped it at 1280x720 50Hz, in 1600x900 it drops down to 40fps in the fight scenes, this being a dx9 game ffs it should run at 1920x1080 60fps no problem, it has little shading or lighting effects it could pass as a dx7 game from 98 all be it with higher res textures.
