TPM will obviously be used to enforce monitoring and content control at user's level. Providing a homegrown mediocre alternative only makes sense to provide a minimum of entertainment services, where only chinese ones (their local facebook/twitterdropbox/google/etc) are used in place of those commonly seen in western consoles, on which they cant enforce restrictions.

Holy **** Kung Fu Live looks awesome. That jumping animation is the best thing ever.

And the console's body looks really nice and sleek, better looking than the 360 and PS3. $600 is taking the piss however. If it were much cheaper I'd buy one, for no other reason than to say I have it.

I wonder how long till the first one explodes?:p

But seriously speaking, I'm not interested... The part saying how it's for casual gamers made me lose interest, not to mention the look-like-an-idiot controller...

Certain gaming machines do make it onto the market in China. I think the ps2 released in China and they have other hardware that's legal but games are loaded in internal memory, can't remember names of these things though..

    On a side note:

We laugh about China's product but we shouldn't forget that a big amount of our technology is made in China.... i could start by Apple's products and continue the endless list :p

True, however they are builded by chinese people. The technology is there so they have all the cards in there hands to build something great if they wish.

It's not really the same thing... Sure they can make as many bootleg ipods they want, but I doubt they have the innovation and knowledge of what went into it to improve the existing one and design a better one. Of course it's possible, but I doubt it.

Besides, most factories in china are sweatshops where they work(or are made to work) like machines, each person puts on one or two parts and it goes to the next person who does his parts and so on... None of them actually builds one completely.

Why do you think China is still lagging in quality of it's own products, even when most things sold here are built there?
