Since it would be an upgrade to vsync, then it fits as revolution. It will not be compatible with all things like sli, etc. unfortunately. A program will have to be made internally to use it.

I've been watching tons of videos trying to figure out what is the advantage of it and clearly there is a small difference but is it worth??? i personally think the difference is too small to justify a purchase over a traditional good one. Sometimes i don't even see a difference at all and while gaming some people just don't care about those things. I sure don't.

watching it online won't accurately reproduce g-sync's capability yes? I want to see a live demo, hope there's a demo when they launch it locally in our area.

You can see the improvements of gsync in the side by side screen comparison video.

Mostly a gimmick. For the reasons I gave in this post:

The video below is pretty fake. At 9.45 there is screen tearing. But that's because they switched off v-sync!!!! NVIDIA ARE CONNING YOU!!!

I disagree. At 9.45 there is considerable tearing on the rotating pillars with sync off.

This is an example of tearing:

It's very unfair to compare to compare no-sync vs g-sync, there is going to be a considerable advantage to g-sync. But it suits their purpose by confusing the audience and adding to the propaganda. Look at the comments under the video.

Earlier in the video, where they compare v-sync to g-sync there is no noticeable difference, at least to my eyes. Despite the commentator insisting that there is. If you think you can see a difference, try switching off the sound and then see if you can still see a difference.

The would be no real visual difference between v-sync and g-sync... If you actually read what nvidia wanted to achieve with g-sync is achieving the same frames per second as no-sync while removing tearing, v-sync can actually sacrifice fps or smoothness to the game and trying to show a video of showing the difference on v-sync and g-sync is dumb as the compressed stream wont show the difference.

Also v-sync removes frames in the frames per second to eliminate the tearing, g-sync tries to remove the handicap

Uh... at 9:45 they are showing the two screens
the left has neither vsync or gsync
    the right has gsync.

There is no tearing on the panel on the right, just artifacts caused by a digital video camera with poor capture refresh.

There is a difference, but people used to watching pulldown content on low frequency displays aren't likely to see it.

As the fps decreases with the vsync example(which appears to be triplebuffered), judder and frame duplication is readily visible, while this is not the case with gsync.

There is tearing on the left monitor, unsuprisingly as there is no sync.

Until I see it I'm not going to believe it. Improvements will be modest, for reasons see my first post.

Playing Assassin's Creed 4 right now and it is really making the case for G-Sync

Force triplebuffering and vsync with D3DOveride and cap the framerate to 45.

Awww... silly little amd, is thinking that the only thing Gsync does is variable VBLANK!

variable vblank does shit all for motion blur.
