You have to save your config settings manually with Options->Save Options.
Should that not work, try to delete your no$gba.ini. It could be read-only.
EDIT: Also note that you'll have to reset your game for certain settings (e.g. save type) to take effect.

Note that the .ini file is NoCash's configure file.:)

make some changes to emulation options then save options
then check if things u had changed has come up in the nosgba.ini file
if it has then it shud work(also attach ur old & new .ini files & post.)

if it hasnt try re-extracting ur emu(thus wiping out the previous directory)
& ur emu shud be spanking new

i no u have to manually save when i do this its ok then when i close No$gba and try and reopen it it stops responding the only way to get it to work again is to delete the .ini file then it will go back to old settings and work.

Hm... what's inside your no$gba folder then? Also, try to move/delete all the files in your no$gba folder except the exe.

I know I am resurrecting an old thread, but seeing as this is the first hit on google, thought I would post. I am using 2.6a and I only change 1 thing, the controls, then save the options. Keeping this in mind, I edit the ini file and delete everything BUT the keybindings section. This allows the emulator to load with my modified keybindings without the "not responding" error. Hope this helps.
