After some difficulty, I managed to get this game game to work on No$GBA, apart from randomly crashing now and again it seemed to be working perfectly.

However, I saved my progress last night inside the first gym, but when I loaded it this morning I find myself at an earlier part of the game as if it's loaded a previos saved game.

Has anyone else had this (extremely frustrating) problem?

I read somewhere that if you boot to the DS bios and load the game from there it fixes some problems but when I try this I get an error message saying that the rom has crashed

    Thanks!

Just a few threads below yours is a very long thread (35 pages!!!) about Soul Silver / Heart Gold!
    READ IT!

And do yourself a favor, start at the last page.
As for the save, it's only written when you properly close No$, open a new game or use No$Zoomer's Save Battery File option.

Smilley, by reading his post it should be obvious that:
    - this can't be the problem in this case
    - he is using v2.6 and NOT 2.6a = NO No$Zoomer

EDIT: rechecked and have to admit that 2.6a also says 2.6 in the config file, BUT "NDS Cartridge Backup Media == FLASH 512KBytes" leads to the assumption that he's using 2.6 and not 2.6a.

AFAIK, some of the gyms can cause even more trouble (freezing, crashing) when appropriate measures aren't taken. What measures to take can be read in the thread I pointed him to and which he could have found himself easily. IF there should be no answer to his problem, he easily can add his one to that existing thread.

The only reason I know for "lost" savegames is crashing the game (or close it from task manager, if you don't want it written). And he even mentions the game crashing occasionally.
No$Zoomer does work with 2.6, BTW, just without EXs. Savegame dumping should work.

Absolutely right and nothing to complain about. ;)

BUT he said that he was SAVING inside the gym and not a single word about the game crashing there. :D

BUT this you should have mentioned in the first place to avoid confused "pokemon professionals" posting about the EX fixes not working for them. :D

And without the EX being of any help, I never would call it "it is working".
I would say "can be used, but...". ;)
