That's right folks, after so many years this emulator finally receives a new update. You can get it here:
    https://sites.google.com/site/bearoso/
    http://www.s9x-w32.de/dl/

Don't know why they haven't updated the official Snes9x website with this, they should.

For me the biggest feature in this update is "Rewind" support which is a feature Zsnes had for years, now I can finally stop using the outdated Zsnes and use Snes9x instead. Too bad the Save States that I had in an older version of Snes9x doesn't work on newer versions.

Edit: Updated the post with another link to download the emulator and included the changelog of a new Snes9x version which is a minor fix release.

Hehe, that is some seriously high res! I don't like the filter you are using, though.

Indeed, i only found this thanks to emu-russia, there is nothing about this on main page, it even contains links to outdated versions that hardly will be of interest to someone. It'd also be nice if Snes9x was on github.

I updated the main post with the changelog of a new Snes9x version, it's just a minor fix release though.

Thanks mate, I added that link as well =)

It looks nice but I dunno, it looks pretty shinny and crisp to my eyes, I'm actually using Blargg's NTSC (RGB), that filter is almost identical to the TV Mode filter but a bit darker. I feel pretty retro when I'm playing using that filter, which is a good thing I guess =p

I tested all modes and Blargg's NTSC(RGB) not just look too dark for me but the lines are way to visible for my taste. The filter i'm using is 6xBRZ and was the one i end up liking eventhough far from perfect. SuperEagle and similar ones looks nice too but either slightly blurry or dark.

the problem is those crt filters aren't very accurate, basically on a crt the initial picture is dark like these filters or crt shaders. when the horizonal scan happens the picture become brighter and the brightness of the picture is what we see on a crt tv. You can't reproduce that on a crt filter or crt shader sadly, thats why it looks darker than it should.

for some reason for this emu, 2xbrz looks better than 5xbrz

2xbrz + 1080p scanlines (got to find a way to make lines lighter though.
